What is a Yacht registration certificate (YRC)?
The yacht registration certificate (YRC) is a legal document issued by vessels state of Registry (flag state) once a yacht has been built.
The Yacht registration certificate (YRC) should provide you with this information :
- The Yacht Name
- The Name and address of the build
- The IMO ( International Maritime Organisation - The ship's identity) :
- The IMO number assigned to a ship is unique and will stay the same throughout the vessel's lifetime, regardless of any changes to its flag, name, type, or ownership.
- The IMO number is documented within the ship's official certificates.
- It is permanently inscribed on the ship's hull in designated locations as required.
- The MMSI (Maritime Mobile Service Identity is a unique 9 digit number assigned to an individual vessel)

- The Gross tonnage
- Any other significant data points that might be required
